At the start of our collaboration, the company had 280 employees managing the loan process manually, which was time-consuming and prone to errors. Market trends indicated a shift towards automation, driving the client to seek a comprehensive digital solution.

Objective:

The client sought to digitize all their processes and develop a solution that efficiently handles over 10 different loan programs with drastically different processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and speed while significantly reducing manual labor and operational costs.

It is essential that the automated system precisely replicates the manual stage-related process, This involves deep understanding and exact replication of the workflows handled by brokers, underwriters, loan officers, processors, appraisers, title officers, and closing agents.

There are over 10 different loan programs (DSCR, Bridge Loan, Hard Money, etc), each with unique processes and calculation algorithms. The system must package all these variations into a user-friendly interface for information entry, application processing, and loan issuance.

The client’s team handles a vast volume of documents with hundreds of templates and specialists. The system must match human expertise in document processing, ensuring precision and compliance with state-specific regulations and laws. Each of the 50 states has its own specific document requirements, and the system must replicate all of them.

Business Analysis & Information Gathering

The client set a business objective, and we took the initiative to understand the industry’s intricacies and workflows by collaborating with the client’s CTO and two engineers through regular sprints and strategic planning.

Additionally, we engaged with over five business roles to ensure our solution met industry standards and effectively digitized the client’s processes including heads of Pipeline Management, Underwriting, Brokerage and Legal teams.

Monosoft developed a custom LMS (Loan Management System) that automates the loan issuance process, integrating dynamic document generation, a custom E-Sign module, and seamless data integrations with credit bureaus and appraisal systems. It includes sophisticated pricing algorithms and an extensive information-gathering module, handling complex workflows for both commercial and residential real estate mortgages.
